How to use and handle our gel packs and machine
We sew our sleeves and shape our gel packs for straightforward use at home. This guide covers how to prepare the items, check the seams, and handle both cold and warm sessions.
Always keep a fabric sleeve, towel, or cloth layer between the gel pack and your skin. We build soft covers for many of our items, but a separate cloth barrier works just as well. Refer to the specific product listing for your model to confirm the recommended session length.
Cold-only items stay out of the microwave. If your compress is marked for hot use, warm it in short intervals and check the temperature with your hand between steps before placing it on your body. This step prevents hot spots across the gel.
Inspect the pack before every use. Check along the seams and across the outer film for any cracks or leaks. If gel escapes through a seam or a puncture, take the item out of rotation immediately.
Adults handle every step when preparing and using our kids-sized packs. An adult checks the temperature, sets the wrap in place, and monitors the entire session from start to finish.
Our cold therapy machine runs according to its own printed manual. Fill the insulated tank with ice and water, then secure the pad over a clean, dry layer of cloth rather than bare skin.
